Triples and Major practice Kingskerswell Saturday 8th March 2.30 – 4.00pm
At this practice we will be mainly focussing on basic methods – Plain Hunt and Plain Bob of 7 and 8 bells but also methods such as Grandsire and Stedman Triples. In Major we will be working on Plain Bob and Little Bob but also Duffield Major, a quite rare example of an even bell principle – it is probably going to be a method for the eight bell competition in October. Worth having a look now. This is a chance to get some practice at these methods and – for the more experienced ringers – have a go at some conducting. Don't feel you need to be able to put people right – just learn a touch – probable up to 240 changes and let us know that you would like to try calling it.
Meet the branch day Saturday 13th April
Planning is under way for this day. It will be based on towers near to Newton Abbot. We particularly would like to see new members at this event. It will be an opportunity to meet and get to know each other. There will be some open ringing but also other activities as well and a chance to let ringers know what the branch and the Guild has to offer. Please try to encourage your ringers to put the date in their Diaries. More details very soon.
