Forthcoming Mid-Devon Events - Oct/Nov 19

Branch 6 bell practice Collaton St Mary Thursday 17th October at 7.30pm

Another tower that we have not visited for some time so it may be a chance for a "tower grab"!! They are a lovely set of bells so well worth a visit. Special methods Double Oxford Minor (a plain minor method) and Wells surprise minor. As usual there will be plenty of other methods as well – do try and get there if you can.

Guild ringing Festival in aid of Devon Bell Restoration Fund 25th October to 3rd November 2019

It used to be the Quarter Peal week but at the Guild AGM this year it was decided to open up the scope and encourage as many ringers as possible to get involved. So – the idea is that you dedicate some ringing during the week to the Festival. It might be a touch in a method that one of the ringers has not rung before or it might be Call Changes rung during a practice or Sunday Service ringing. It could, of course, still be a quarter peal. The idea is that the ringers taking part donate towards the Devon Bell Fund. There are many calls on this fund and in recent years the donations have not been as high as in the past.
