Report from the Exeter Branch skittles and supper evening 2019
The skittles and supper evening is an Exeter Branch tradition going back several years and for the second year running we held it at the New Inn pub on the edge Broadclyst. This was attended by over 20 Guild members and friends allowing for a competitive game of skittles which was paused half way through the evening for supper. We had five rounds of skittles in total which was won by Team Rounds with a score of 341, although Team Call Changes were only 11 points behind. Well done to Dick Petrilli who achieved the highest overall score of 42 and also to Susan Illing who won the round of killer at the end – a complete reversal of results from 2018. The supper comprised of a cold meat platter or cheese quiche, served with a tasty side salad and ample roast potatoes, chips and jackets. Our thanks go to the staff at the pub for making us very welcome again.
