The competition was very well attended at Offwell on Saturday 8th July. As in recent years there were two classes: Class 1 for tower teams competing for the coveted Edward Summers Memorial Trophy, and Class 2 - an open category where anything goes to win the Alan Tucker Memorial Bell. There were 10 teams (a record we believe!), the choice of ringing ranging from call changes to Surprise Minor, all expertly judged by David Hird. Well done to the Honiton team for retaining the Edward Summers Trophy and equally well done to the 'It's A Surprise' team for also retaining the Alan Tucker Bell. It was a lovely afternoon with a wonderful cream tea, cakes and sandwiches too.
