The events calendar can be downloaded on the Events Calendar Download page.

Below is a guide for using the .ics file with personal computers, tablet devices and smartphones. Registered Users of this website can edit/update this document when logged in.

Android Phones
Samsung:

  1. Click on the link to the calendar download and open from either the dropdown 'quick view' or from the designated 'download' folder.
  2. Follow instructions on phone: the first prompt may ask wether to use the 'DB text editor' or the 'S Planner' (Samsung's calendar app) - select the S Planner.
  3. The prompts will vary slightly, but should import directly into 'my calendar' on your phone.

On other Android based smartphones an app may need to be used to import the .ics file. Free apps are available on Android Market.

Alternatively, download the file (right-click on the link and save) to a MS Windows PC and use it to update an online Google Calendar. Android phones can sync with Google Calendars.

Apple Mac (OS X iCal & iCalendar)

  1. Click on the link and a new calendar will be saved to your "Downloads" folder/stack.
  2. iCal or iCalendar (from OS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion" onwards) should automatically open. If the program doesn't open automatically, double-click on the downloaded file (an .ics file).
  3. In the dialogue box, choose either an existing calendar or a new one. If you choose "New Calendar" then one will be created. It will have the same name as the filename.

If you use iCloud (OS X 10.7.5 "Lion" or later) to sync with your iOS devices (iOS 5 and later) then the calendar will appear on your iPhone, iPad and/or iPod Touch automatically.

Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)

  1. Use the web-browser (Safari usually) to access this website and click on the link. The Calendar's events will show on the screen.
  2. Click on the blue Add All button on the top-right of the screen. This will bring up the Choose Calendar screen.
  3. Choose an existing calendar or "New Calendar" and click the Done button on the top-right of the screen. This brings up the "Add Calendar" screen.
  4. Give your calendar a name and choose a colour. Click the Done button on the top-right of the screen. This brings up the "Choose Calendar" screen again.
  5. Click the Done button on the top-right of the screen.
  6. Click the Done button on the top-left of the screen.

If you use iCloud to sync with other iOS devices (iOS 5 and later) and computers running OS X 10.7.5 "Lion" or later (iMac, Mac Book, etc) then the calendar will appear on these automatically.

Blackberry Phones
The downloaded file cannot normally be used to update the phone's calendar directly. However, it is possible to sync a Blackberry phone with a MS Windows PC running Outlook using Blackberry software.

Google Calendar

  1. Right-click on the file-link and save the .ics file to your PC.
  2. Click the down-arrow next to Other calendars
  3. Select Import calendar
  4. Click Choose file and find the file that contains your events, then click Open.
  5. Select the Google Calendar where you'd like to import events, then click Import.

Smartphones which use the (Google) Android operating system can sync with Google Calendars.

iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) can also sync with Google Calendar. Follow these instructions.

MS Outlook (on Windows PC and Apple OS X)

  1. Right-click on the file-link and save the .ics file to your PC.
  2. On the File menu, click Import and Export.
  3. Click Import an iCalendar or vCalendar file (.vcs) then click Next.
  4. Locate the folder that contains the file you want to import. In the Files of type list, choose iCalendar Format.
  5. Click OK.

The above is for Outlook 2003, although there may be issues importing the file. Later versions of Outlook (2007, 2010 and 2013) should import the file and the gist is broadly the same in each. These alternative instructions may help.

Android and Blackberry phones can sync with MS Outlook and Entourage.
