The method practice scheduled for 15th July has been postponed to 19th August due to a clash with another event on the same day.
The Guild organises an annual programme of training events to suit all tastes and levels of experience. These events can all be found on the calendar of Guild Events or the programme of events in 2017 can be downloaded here: Guild Education Programme 2017.
The programme for 2017 may appear somewhat depleted but this is because it is hoped to offer more training at branch and tower level. Every branch is encouraged to hold at least one ‘Kaleidoscope’ training day – helpers, a tutor and assistance with organisation can be provided by the Education Officer if desired.
The Association of Ringing Teachers runs training courses for those who wish to learn how to or improve their skills at teaching ringing. These courses are an excellent facility; anyone already involved with teaching is also strongly encouraged to attend.
To find out more about any of the events on the programme or to enrol, please contact the Education Officer. Numbers are limited for most events. If you have an idea for a training event to appear on the programme next year or would like to make suggestions about training, please contact the Education Officer.
Recently, a lack of experienced ringers has been impeding progress at one tower. However, a series of targeted practices is now enabling the band to overcome some of its difficulties. Would your tower benefit from a little outside support over a period of a few weeks? If so, please contact the Education Officer, who will be very happy to arrange help where possible.
