As you can see, we joined in the national celebrations to mark Her Majesty The Queen's birthday celebrations earlier in the year.

Our branch has continued to provide targeted practices throughout the summer period.  The targeted practices have been introduced by the branch to provide ringers with the opportunity to ring a method of their choice for a few weeks of concentrated learning and the response has been most encouraging.

Our Guild officers have continued to provide support to some of our branch practices and to individual ringers who have been keen to progress into more complicated methods.  This was duly noted at the Guild Festival when we presented  three branch ringers with their 'First Peal' certificates who had been  inspired by the Central Council 'first peal' initiative.

The branch also has had a great deal of success in the recruitment of new ringers who have received their Guild Certificates.  Also we have had interest from the Boy Scout movement who have attended tower practices in a few towers.  This has led to a Duke of Edinburgh bronze award being presented to a young ringer who we hope will continue to ring for his tower.
