Branch practice Saturday 1st Feb 2020 – Newton Abbot – St Leonard's Tower

Our next practice is on Saturday (1st Feb). 7.00pm until 8.30pm. The clock tower are good bells and we always enjoy our visits there. Special Methods – Double Norwich and Stedman Triples. As always we suggest these methods only to give an indication that you can look them up if you need to – there will be something for everyone from Call changes to ?Surprise Major? We look forward to seeing you there.

Change of Venue – please up-date your diaries

As it seemed such a long time to our branch AGM it was felt that ringers might like an earlier visit to the new ring at Kingskerswell. Thanks to Tim King and Philip Stevens we have changed the venue of the 13 March 8 bell practice from Wolborough to Kingskerswell. Due to a service in Church we will not be able to start until 7.45pm but we are sure you will think they are well worth the wait!

Advance Notice – March Training morning St Marychurch 9.30 – 12.00 Saturday 7th March

A bit of a change for this one – the morning will be split into two sections – one using a few of the very many listening exercises in "Come on, Listen to it" – a Whiting society DVD. The other section will look at basic theory – how to write out methods and some learning tips and other basic theory. It will be a chance to make sure that some of the basic elements have not become overlooked in the race to get ringing. There will be discussion on how striking is judged in competitions and a chance to have a go at judging – this has proved popular in the past and helps to build awareness of what we are trying to achieve. Should be a fun morning. Please let This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. know if you would like to attend
