Exeter
Branch Mini-Ring Outing.
Saturday 13 July 2002.
A fun
afternoon was had by the select few attending this years
"fun" outing. We descended on the mini-ring owners of
Somerset starting at Richard and Marion Newman's ring of 10.
Here we managed some very reasonable Grandsire Caters, and the
customary 3 leads of Bristol S Major! Then on to Aaron Moulder's
slightly harder to handle ring of 6, hung in the summer house at
the end of his parent's garden. There is no ceiling so the
bells can clearly be seen in action.
Next stop
was Margaret Chapman's "Piglet-in-the-Wild" before our
final stop at Matthew Higby's. Here we were able to ring his 10 in
the garage, and the "Micro-Ring". All good fun! Then we
retired to the local hostelry for much liquid refreshment and some
nourishment.
Thank you,
Lester, for making all the arrangements - especially the weather.
